Handmade 24" Statement Necklace with Large Apache Tears Obsidian Pendant

A lovely pendant made from Apache Tears Obsidian stone mounted on a silver plated necklace with silver plated findings, light green faceted glass beads and deep purple freshwater pearls. This one-of-a-kind statement necklace is 24" and has a three inch extender. 

Apache Tears are healing stones, known to help navigate grief and loss. They are said to have the ability ability to lend support during times of sorrow. Apache Tears can also help those struggling with depression and are said to absorb negative energy. The stone used in this necklace measures approximately 3.25 inches long and 1.5 inches wide at the largest point.

Apache Tears is a popular term for polished, tear shaped pebbles of a naturally occurring volcanic glass known as Obsidian. This glass is formed when lava cools so quickly there is no time for crystals to be shaped. In the case of Apache Tears, this glass was formed in the presence of excessive water. when you hold one up to the light, you will see its translucence.

This pendant is fragile and can break if it comes into contact with a hard surface. Do not use chemicals when cleaning. Warm soapy water and a microfiber cloth should be used to avoid scratches.
